Jane Gennaro’s series, Models uses radically altered fashion magazine pages to examine the image
of the female body in our culture. Each “scissor drawing” is hand cut with scissors in one continuous motion.
Evolutions include large scale prints of the scissor drawings on reflective surfaces, as well as plywood and canvas.
Recent sculptures consist of the paper scissor drawings hung from deer bones and science glass.
